I’m inspired by this quote today, for many reasons. Its such a beautiful message of strength in ourselves and good will toward our fellows. I’ve found so much strength personally in the larger “good actions” I’ve taken on my journey with my mental health advocacy, but in fact true strength is in the little things.
A kind word.
An “are you ok?”
I know that others will ultimately “pay it forward” too.
I’m using this as a reminder to me that the good actions mean something. That this world of war, disease and unrest isn’t all bad. Because each of us has an opportunity every single day to build up others in small ways, and build ourselves up in the process. To put out good energy into the world. To make small changes that can mean big things.
To NOT bully or belittle. To NOT make jokes at someone’s expense. But to actually go out of our way to make another feel good. To show them LOVE. To remind each other that we are not alone on this big spinning orb in the universe.
“GOOD ACTIONS give strength to ourselves and inspire GOOD ACTIONS in others.” ~ Plato
