For my birthday last month, my parents gave me a meaningful bracelet that they chose in honor of my suicide prevention advocacy. It was then that it occurred to me that perhaps suicide loss or prevention jewelry existed that I didn’t know about. And I was right! The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention actually has Remembrance Jewelry available via ekdesignsjewelry.com.
AFSP’s hand-crafted Remembrance Jewelry is a gift to honor our loved ones lost, or perhaps remind us of the strength we need to fight through our own struggles.
Items are available for both men and women. Sterling silver necklace, bracelets, charm, cuff links, money clip and pin/tie tack are available in the collection, and most feature the AFSP Lifesaver Logo, which reminds the wearer of hope and perseverance. 30% of the purchase price goes directly to AFSP’s survivor programs.
With my own involvement and commitment to AFSP, I just had to get one of these meaningful pieces myself.
I purchased this beautiful bangle charm bracelet (which perfectly coordinates with the bracelet from my parents) as an early Christmas present. it is lovely, and a nice solid piece of sterling silver. The lifesaver AFSP logo charm is just so meaningful to me. I am so pleased that 30% will go to my local AFSP Washington State Chapter, for which I am an active volunteer.
When I purchased my bracelet, I chatted with EK Designs Jewelry founder Elizabeth and asked if she might be willing to offer a giveaway of a similar bracelet to one of you.. And she agreed!
So I’m happy to share with you this American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Lifesaver Charm Bracelet Giveaway (Retail Value $75.00),which will run from Thursday, December 18th through Monday, January 6th. (US and Canada Only Please.)
A lovely gift to one lucky winner to kick off the New Year.
Also while I’m at it, don’t forget about the 2014 Overnight Walks in Seattle and Philadelphia. If you’d like to join my walking team, you may do so here: WA State Chapter Team or to make a donation to my personal fundraising, please do so HERE. (There are also opportunities to volunteer at either of the Overnights without the need to fundraise, just FYI.)
Disclosure: I did not receive compensation for this post. I purchased my own AFSP bracelet at full price. EK Designs Jewelry is supplying one bracelet as a giveaway. All opinions are my own as always.
