Rhapsody KIDS Music Service

Disclosure: This $300 Target GC Giveaway and post is sponsored by Rhapsody Kids.

Ronin and Ellie absolutely adore listening to music. Ronin has taken Hip Hop dance for over a year, and for a long time Ellie said she wanted to be a singer and dancer when she grew up. Aren’t they adorable?!

Ronin and Ellie at Dance

Ellie sings a lot and they both have a lot of rhythm. I mean look at Ronin and his buddies go! It’s really awesome to see.

Just last week something funny happened with Ellie. Recently, her love of dance had waned quite a bit. She had had a stressful time taking tap over the summer. It was a little too advanced of a class for her, so she actually decided to quit. She was in full panic mode, and when Fall rolled around, she wanted to take a break from dance. I’m cool with that of course, I don’t want her to do something she doesn’t love doing. But she kept adamantly saying she was going to be a singer and dancer when she grew up, and I was a bit stumped.

You see, in pre-K last year before graduation her teachers asked the kids to write down what they wanted to be when they grew up. In her 5-year-old mind, once you write it down that’s it. You’ve just chosen your career path. It all came out last week and I had to laugh (to myself!) The things that get stuck in kids’ heads! She now wants to be a Fashion Designer on Project Runway. haha. And I’m sure there will be a string of other things along the way.

But she really does love singing and music. I don’t think it’s a career path, but I suppose you never know! They adore listening to Kidz Bop and other fun songs. Casper Babypants is actually a favorite. They’re local to us, so we’ve seen them in concert at the waterfront a few times. There is a lot of music out there that is inappropriate for a 5 or 8-year-old so it’s nice to see that Rhapsody KIDS music subscription service exists. It’s app design is very kid-friendly too.
