Spring is such a beautiful time of rebirth and renewal. I just love the season, particulary when the sun starts shining here in the Pacific Northwest and we can get out more for some Vitamin D. As for Easter, we’re honestly not religious around here, but we love the family traditions that surround the holiday…and of course the chocolate, we LOVE the chocolate!

My friend Michelle of MinaDream Crochet on Etsy is actually a big part of our annual Easter traditions. For the past few years, John and I and the kids head over to Michelle’s house for a big Egg Hunt behind their house.

Its a lovely forest-like area where we all bring and hide Easter eggs, and send the kids out for an adventure. We each bring a dish for potluck and enjoy a fun day with great friends. (Our oldest boys have known each other since 3 months old and our daughters are great friends too!)

Michelle is also a very talented crochet artist. I guess that’s what you’d call her. A crocheter? She has the talent of crochet? You get the idea. We own too many of her hats and things to count. She just made Ellie a little crochet purse and I just LOVE her little amigurumi toys. Anyway, she and I decided to put together a fun little giveaway for Easter that I know you (or more to be exact, your kids) are just gonna love.
