Disclosure: For this holiday decor, craft and giveaway, I received a promotional item from Sweetworks. This is a Fashionista Event. Hosts are Still Blonde after all these Years and ModlyChic. Opinions are 100% my own.
I am so in the holiday spirit! We decorated our tree last Friday right after Thanksgiving and the house is feeling so festive. This year some of John’s family is traveling cross country to visit, so I’ve been obsessing over ways to amp up the holiday decor. It’s not often that we have out of town company this time of year, but we’ll be hosting Christmas Eve and I definitely want to make the place look extra special.
Sweetworks offered the perfect solution. This 50-year old company creates high quality chocolates and other creative confections. Not only is their candy so pretty, but these delicious treats will be perfect for all of us to enjoy during holiday festivities. The kids of course were thrilled when a big box of candy arrived. I’ve been fighting them off so we still have some left by Christmas. So hard to say no to that face!
This week we’ve been having fun using several types of candy to design some DIY holiday table decor in preparation for our upcoming holiday party with family.
One of our favorites are sixlets, which come in a variety of packages and look so cute in our decorations. The candy canes are perfect stocking stuffers too, aren’t they? We also really love the giant gum balls, and the chocolates. YUM. The cool thing is that many of their products are actually gluten-free and several have not been processed with peanuts (which is a must for Ronin.)
Upcycled Candle Holder Turned Candy Display
This was created using a thrifted candle holder. I wrapped it with green and silver garland ($1 each at the dollar store) and filled the bottom with red ball ornaments. The glass vases and jars are also thrifted and filled with single colors of Sweetworks candy. So beautiful!
Santa Candy Mason Jar
Please check out a complete tutorial here! But this was created with red Sweetworks sixlets candies, and using glue and two items purchased at the dollar store. Super simple and so adorable. The kids were beside themselves to create them.
Oh, and by the way, the silver wreath above is also a creation of mine. I’ll be posting a tutorial of that little project soon too!
