School is almost finally here. 12 days to be exact, but who’s counting? ๐
This summer has been somewhat rough on me because I work from home and didn’t schedule much in the way of camps for the kids. So they’ve been here the.whole.time and wow, it’s been challenging. I also really need my alone time for the sake of my mental health so yeah, I’m pretty ready. But one thing I am not ready for is having to plan and pack lunches every day. It’s not exactly my favorite thing in the world, but it must be done.
The kids have allergies, including Ronin’s peanut allergy, so there’s no eating school lunches for them. I know that doesn’t sound too stressful but I have to say I’m pretty jealous of those of you who get to throw money down on the lunch card. I mean, even once in a while would be nice but I just can’t do it, ever. Allergy mamas, you know the drill.
You’ve probably seen I am a huge lover of Snapware. The quality of their products is terrific, and their cleverly-designed storage solutions are definitely used in our home, like in my mini office. Last year I created these Minecraft and Pokemon-inspired school lunch kits with Snapware and we still love using them at home. So I was excited to see new Snapware Total Solution products, particularly their medium square containers with built-in snack compartments. I love these!
They have other smaller sized containers perfect for extra fruits, veggies or salads. And many of them come with ice packs to keep items cool for up to 4 hours. These containers are great sizes for lunchboxes and hold pretty much all you need in a school or work lunch. John’s taken to using them for work as well.
Snapware Total Solution products have airtight, leak-proof lids with four locking tabs. They’re safe to use in the microwave, refrigerator, freezer and dishwasher. They nest for space saving and have write and erase lids for easy labeling. How cool is that?!
I’m not typically one to make fancy lunches for the kids but Ellie is finally starting at Ronin’s school this year and we’re celebrating! So I’ve also created one week’s worth of printable lunch box notes to make her first week even more special. Feel free to download and print them yourself for your kids!
